Last day in Limerick
So now, after spending over 4 months here in Ireland and living in Limerick for nearly the same period, the time has finally come to say goodbye to life here. And at this very moment, I really can’t wait to go home, as it’s been getting more and more quiet over the last week.
We finished packing and are bringing our parcels with our books to the guys’ as we weren’t able to send it back home today, so they will send it to us as soon as they get back from the holidays. We cleaned the apartment during an all-nighter last Thursday/Friday, as we got our deposit back on Friday. We also had our last exam last Friday, after cleaning all night and saying goodbye to Tove and Lisa in the morning, so it wasn’t that great to have an exam. But I think we passed anyway, as father Sean told us to make sure we wrote Erasmus on the sheet, and he’d make sure we’d get a good mark.
And now we really are ready to go back to the Netherlands, go home, as this no longer feels like home with the apartment so terribly empty and practically everyone gone. Abby and Peter are leaving tomorrow at 5am, Mandie at 8 and we will follow shortly after, taking the bus to Dublin. On Monday our plane will take off at 2.15pm, and we will set foot again on Dutch soil at 4.50pm.
I want to thank everyone for being supportive and leaving responses on my blog, and I will see you all soon!! And of course thanks for all the people that have become part of my life here in Limerick, I’m gonna miss you guys!
